From basics to brights, lights to darks, and neutrals to brilliant, Aurifil has over 220 thread color choices to coordinate with any project.  We couldn't choose our favorite colors so we chose to stock them all!

Thread weight sizes include 12 weight, 28 weight, 40 weight, 50 weight, floss and wool.  The color of the thread spool holder is your reminder of the weight; 12 weight is a red spool, 28 weight is grey, 40 weight is green, 50 weight is orange, and and floss comes on wooden spools.

    As a guy quilter I tend to always go towards the more neutral backgrounds with occasional pops of color. I have really enjoyed growing my collection of colors and among my favorites are: Platinum, Dark Navy and Blue Grey.

    I only sew with Aurifil thread in my dreams. Someday I hope to be able to really try it out. There are so many beautiful colors to pick from but I would have to say my top 3 are Jade, Lemon, and Golden Honey.

    Fall is my favorite time of year! Therefore my favorite aurifil thread colors would be Oranges, yellows and greens! But of course I would love to own the whole collection!

    I use white, gray and beige which are my favs for machine piecing. Have to say I stick with gray a lot. Years ago a guy in a quilt shop told me that gray would blend in with most fabrics when piecing so I stuck with that! Lol.

    Dark Grass Green, Beige, Grey, and black are the colors I use most often but I love so many of them. Aurifil is the thread I use for all my quilting.

    I just recently had the opportunity to attend an Aurifil lecture. I like the dark reds and greens as well as the medium greys.

    The colors I use most for piecing are 2021 natural white, 2024 white, and 2606 mist, but I have a wide variety of colors on hand for stitching down binding.

    My favorite Aurifil thread is usually the next one I'm going to use. Wheat (2125) adds subtle elegance to a traditional quilt and can be everyday casual on other projects; Fern(2888) will be used on my next batik quilt and will provide contrast on the darker blocks; and Wedgewood (4140) will play a large part in a lamoyne star, churn-dash block quilt I'm designing.

    I love all the colors. I just love the thread. My favorite color is 2370. I think it is the most versatile color. I do a lot of English paper piecing and this color blends so well with the majority of fabrics. Of course not with the light colors. I use the beiges or whites for those

    I use 2900 (light khaki green) a lot for piecing. I also like 2130 (medium butter) and 6735 (plumtastic) because they go well with quilts I'm working on right now. I love Aurifil - definitely my favourite thread!

    Started using Aurifil with my new embroidery machine and it stitches beautifully. All colors are beautiful, but so far have only done summer motifs and love Dusty Orange, Fern Green and Gold Yellow. My thread stash is meager, but growing!

    I enjoy quilting with these threads. I use them all the time when I am using my fancy stitches as the colors are vibrant which compliments the stitches and the quilt. Colors are teal, beige, and red.

    The colors are vibrant which makes it difficult to just pick three, but since you only want three; Baby Pink, Light Orchid and Cafe au Lait.

    Wow, not only do I love the colours but some of the names had me drooling too. Three colours that stood out for me were Grey Blue, Dark Carmine Red and Eggplant. :)

    I love all the colors including the variegated threads and various weights available from Aurifil! I love Christmas all year and try to work in at least one or two projects each month! My favorite and most used are 1103-Burgundy, 2260-Wine and 4030-Plum! I have even used Aurifil for embroidery!

    This is a great thread, especially for small piecing; and I am partial to traditional colors of white, creams, and lt. grays. Especially like that you now offer thread kits to match particular fabric lines!!

    It isn't fair to make us pick 3 colors so if you don't mind I'd like to pick three categories instead. Those would be Whites, Reds, and Greens. The reasoning behind this is I mainly do Christmas sewing throughout the year. Every once in awhile I splurge and do a western or a special item for a grandson, relative or friend.

    I buy Aurifil whenever I can. It's sews great in my Pfaff. Minimal lint! I piece with Dove and Black. But my all time favorite color is Dark Turqoise! Love them all!

    I haven't had the oppoetunity to use Aurifil - being located in a area far from numerous suppliers. But one shop an hour away is going to carry Aurifil in the future - I am looking forward to that. But I use a light grey to piece with and see they have some nice choices. Light grey green, light grey but then the yellows and blues are pretty too.

    There are so many beautiful colors! I just could not narrow it down to one specific color so my favorite three colors of the threads would be the greys, mostly the smoke colors, the Reds, and the greens. Just love them!!!!

    My 3 go - to colors are 2600, 2024, and 2370. They are my favorites for piecing, I use matching thread for quilting, so my favorite is any color that matches my top.

    I have only used Aurifil thread once quite a few years ago. Looking through all the thread colors I would use Chalk and Beige for most sewing items and just a color that I really liked was Violet. As other have said they are all very pretty.

    Oh my goodness, so many colors to choose from. I love all of Aurfil threads. My main colors when I first start my quilts are Champagne, Cream, and Butter. But I love trying new colors when it comes out. I like using the variegated threads when I do my quilting.

    Almost any 50wt Aurifil thread could be my favorite, but I will tell you 3 colors that I have grown to love because of client quilt colors: 2805 - a delicious lt aqua/teal 1310 - a handsome teal navy 2600 - the perfect lt grey/silver. Aurifil!!

    Aurifil thread has been my favorite since my first quilt retreat. I noticed that my bobbins were running out much faster than some of the experienced Quilter's bobbins were. One of them told me about how great Aurifil thread was as a wound bobbin lasted much longer and the thread itself was awesome. I now have all of the neutrals, teal, red, and I'm building my collection. I love the way it sews, looks and the variety of colors.

    Always making a quilt for my 3 kids who are now out of college and working. It seems I use blossom pink a lot for my one daughter and the others I tend to use artic ice, blue violet, dove, and bark. I love all the colors and the thread never gives me a problem in my machine which is a huge plus♡♡

    I only use Aurifil thread for my quilt piecing. It is so easy to keep your 1/4" seam because the thread doesn't add a lot of bulk. My favorite colors are white, sand, and light grey

    Hard to pick just 3 colors for favorites! But, on my machine for piecing a quilt is 6723, I just used 2785 for sewing a binding on a quilt, and 2312 is close to perfect for piecing a variety of colors.

    OH- it is so hard to choose- I actually have 27 favorite colors, besides some of the collections. I do not see the Victorian collection listed, which I have. I usually use the neutral shades, but, for this I will say my favorites are Dusty Lavender, Light Turquoise and Light Wedgewood.

    I love your Burgundy # 1103 because of the richness, Dark Navy #2784 for it's darker color versatility, and Dove # 2600 for it's fantastic versatility as a neutral color. Aurofil is one of my very favorite threads. The consistency is great. You always know what quality you are getting..

    I do love Aurifil thread and all the beautiful colors. I too use basic colors like white, beige, and light grey for almost all my piecing projects. However, when doing appliqué I use Aurifil colors to match my project fabric piece. So many perfect beautiful colors that match beautifully.

    Aurifil thread is my favorite. I always have grey, black and white on hand and most of the time one of these colors are on my sewing machine. With the wide variety of colors I can always find the right color for any project.

    Aurifil 50 is my favorite thread. I use 2900 light khaki green for most piecing, as well as lots of 2843 light grey green and 2605 grey.

    I love them all! I'm a very color orientated person. If I had to choose I guess my three that I purchase the most would be Rose, Sky, or Violet.

    The grey 2600 is almost always threaded in my machine but I also use 2024 (white) and 2000 (beige). Love them!

    I have not used aurifil thread, as it is a little pricey for my budget. I would love the opportunity to use it and see if I would love it enough to not care about the price. I love the Burgundy, Blush, and Natural White.

    I really love the many colors, so it is so difficult to pick faves, but I can always chose a handful of lovelies. Aluminum is a great neutral with Burgundy & Turf Green adding a splash to any project. Love them.

    It was easy to find my favorite three Aurifil colors -- two I have in large cones, and the third is on my machine right now! They are: 2615 (light grey); 2000 (beige) and 3817 -- bright multi, excellent for floral prints!

    For piecing my favorite colors are Light Beige and Light Blue Grey. But I purchased the Light Grey Turquoise for applique. It is the only thread I use. Low lint build up and sews like a dream.

    All of the thread colors are wonderful. For piecing I like white, butter and grey. I like the light fern green, turquoise and light peony for embroidery. I can think of a beautiful use for each color.

    There are so many I like it is hard to choose just three, but among my favorites is rose, eggplant, and butter.

    I only have the basic colors at this time but I love the Beige, Black and Dark Navy are my favorites because they go with so many fabrics.

    This is a very hard decision!! I'll go with the Antique Blush. Dark Cobolt. And Emerald. My fav colors in my home are these three !!! Even my dishes

    You have so many unique colors to choose from. I like to use beige for piecing. I lean towards earth tone colors but some other favorites are the Antique white, Wedgewood, & shades of blue.

    The neutrals : grey, beige, white etc are wonderful! But I truly love that I could match any color I have tried! Bright teal, dark blue, lime green, the brightest yellow.

    Love the grey smoke, jade and light grey green!! Beautiful thread for a perfectly pieced quilt. I used Aurfil for the first time on my last quilt - amazing difference.

    I have a Chartreuse green that is fantastic for leaves, etc. Grey Smoke and Light Sand 2000. Auriful is my favorite for piecing and machine quilting as it comes in different sizes. Thanks for a chance to win.

    I love the bright orange. I used this color in my very first quilt because it had a fall theme with pumpkins and sunflowers. Copper is another favorite as I love all fall colors and this one is not seen just everywhere. Last but no least dark grass green is a favorite because it works so perfectly for trees and leaves.

    I love using all of the colors on my long arm. I have used Victorian Rose and the teal on someone quilt . Just to name a few.But doing piece work I use the gray and the and the white. I just love all of the colors

    It would be easier to list the colors I DON'T like! I'm a blue girl; Jade, Med Teal, Dark Cobalt are my go to colors. Beige is the old stand-by, good for just about anything! I really need to branch out and try new colors! Thanks for the chance to win and do just that:)

    I love piecing with Aluminum 2615, 4225 eggplant, and 1243 Dusty Lavender. I also use lots of white 2021 and Light Sand 2000. There are so many great colors. Thanks.
