Stitching Love: Bear Creek Quilting Company’s Annual Pillowcase Challenge 2025

• Choose your fabrics - Bright, cheerful fabric prints are always welcome, but all styles are appreciated.
  

  • Main fabric – this will be the body of your pillowcase and the star of the show.

  • Coordinating fabric – use this for the pillowcase cuff to frame your main print beautifully.

  • Tonal or blender fabric – perfect for creating that cute little flange accent.  (This is an optional piece.)

• Follow a simple pattern - Pillowcases are quick and beginner-friendly projects.

• Make one (or many!) - Whether you sew one pillowcase or a dozen, every contribution counts.

• For children in hospitals, a bright pillowcase can be a source of comfort during tough days.

• For families in shelters, it brings a touch of warmth and normalcy.

• For seniors in care facilities, it's a reminder that someone is thinking of them.

• Pillowcase Challenge runs September 4th - October 10th, 2025.

• Final shipments must be received no later than October 17th, 2025 to count toward entries for prizes.

• The common size for standard pillowcases is 20 inches by 26 inches.  These sizes are approximate, they do not need to be exact.
  

• Regular 100% cotton quilting fabric should be used.  Remember to use fun, colorful prints!!  Cotton and Flannel are acceptable.  Other fabrics types (knits, polyester, etc.) are not acceptable for this challenge.  Labels are not necessary.
  

• Prizes: 
• Each pillowcase sent in is an entry into the drawing for a $50 Bear Creek Quilting Company Online Gift Certificate.

• We will be drawing THREE winners.

• Contributors are only eligible to win one Gift Certificate.

• Bear Creek Quilting Company employees and families are encouraged to contribute but are not eligible for prizes.

• Any decisions not listed that arise are the discretion of Bear Creek Quilting Company.

• Winners:
• Winners will be notified on October 24th, 2025.
  

• Winners will be posted at the bottom of this blog.

• Winners must have a valid US shipping address to accept Bear Creek Quilting Company Online Gift Certificate.

• Please wash all pillowcases with scent-free detergent before shipping.

• Fold neatly and place in a plastic bag, inside your shipping package.  This protects the package contents in case the outer bag/box is damaged.
  

• Include your name, address, email, and phone number with the pillowcases so we can log your Pillowcase Challenge entries.
